Results for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which took place between Tuesday and Monday, have been released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

However, it was clarified that the results of candidates who had their exam rescheduled to Saturday were not included in this release.

According to a statement released by JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin on Tuesday evening, the results of absentees, candidates under investigation, and visually impaired candidates are currently being processed.

The statement also disclosed that a total of 1,595,779 candidates had registered to take the examination across 708 CBT centres in 105 examination towns in the country.

How to Check JAMB UTME Results 2023

According to the JAMB spokesperson, candidates can check their results by sending UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number used for registration. The result will be sent to them via text message.

It should be noted that if a candidate falls under the absent, rescheduled, or under investigation categories, the response to their result inquiry will state this. Therefore, only candidates who do not fall under these categories will receive a returned result.

For candidates whose exams were rescheduled, they are required to print their slips on or before Thursday and Friday in order to know the time and venue of their examination. They will be grouped in a central location within their respective states for the exam, so it’s essential that they make sufficient arrangements in advance.
